The owners of Potomac River Running are deeply entrenched in the running & racing community and proudly support and contribute to over 200 area road races.  They feel fortunate to have a business that enables them to give back - not only to runners, walkers, and triathletes, but also to the many causes they serve and the greater community.

BCC 5k & 1-Mile Fun Run and Fall Fest

Ashburn, VA

Join us for the Broadlands Community Church 5k and Fall Festival. The race will benefit the Inova Pediatric Services at Loudoun Hospital. The 5k will run a loop throughout Broadlands. Please join us for the Fall Festival after the race, including delicious food from local vendors, children's activities, live entertainment, an incredible 50'x50' laster tag game, raffles, random drawing for prizes, more!  Each pre-registered runner will receive a commemorative technical t-shirt. There will be awards for the top 3 overall male and females. There will also be age group awards for the top 3 males and females in age group categories.

Run for the Door 5k

The third annual Run for the Door 5K & 1K family fun run is being hosted by Wells Fargo Home Mortgage. The event benefits Loudoun Habitat for Humanity. The 1K starts at 8:30 am and the 5K starts at 9 am. The top three male and female finishers overall receive awards. The top three male and female finishers in age groups categories will also receive awards. Join us for this fun event for the entire family!

The 2nd Annual Anthem Great Pumpkin 5k

This fall, there’s no better place in Northern Virginia to run, walk or jog than the beautiful Reston Town Center. Bring your family to the 2nd annual Anthem Great Pumpkin 5k Run and have a pumpkin-tastic time. Your kids will love the FREE Kids Pumpkin Dash and the Pumpkin Decorating contest. You’ll love the pedestrian-friendly environment, restaurants, live entertainment and more. Plus, after the race, see The Greatest Pumpkin in Virginia and enjoy the festivities at the Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce’s Oktoberfest.  Race proceeds benefit the Inova Heart and Vascular Institute.

Anything That Moves You Forward 5k

Vienna, VA

The Virginia Physical Therapy Association celebrates October as National Physical Therapy Month by presenting this event to benefit the Parkinson Foundation of the National Capital Area. All proceeds support PFNCA's great programs to help those living with Parkinson disease, their carepartners and families. The ATMUF 5K will start at the mural parking lot across from the Vienna train station and follow the scenic W & OD Trail to Clarke's Crossing and back . A water stop will be located near the turnaround point. All registered participants will receive a commemorative T-shirt. Food and prizes follow the race. There will be awards for the top 3 overall male and female finishers, and top male and female wheelchair finishers. Age group awards will be presented to the top male and females in age group categories. We will also have random prize give aways at the end of the event!
